Four Day - Venture West Tour

The Venture West Tour is a 4 day eco tour adventure into the heart of the Australian bush. You’ll meet genuine Australian bush characters, experience authentic Australian country lifestyle, taste traditional Aussie bush tucker (food!) and try your hand at some truly Australian bush crafts.

All Aussie Farmstay and Bush Adventures tours are small groups, with a maximum of 11 passengers, so you'll be assured of personalised attention. 

Features of the Venture West Tour:

• A four day, personalised guided, city escape and adventure
• One night’s accommodation in a Country Pub in the historic town of Mudgee
• One night camping under the stars on a sheep farm
• One night’s accommodation in cabins
• Meet local country people in the pubs, towns and farms we visit
• Pat a Koala, feed a Kangaroo, see and learn about Australian native animals
• Walk in the World Heritage Blue Mountains National Park
• See Australia’s rugged and beautiful mountains and wide and sweeping plains filled with unique flora and fauna
• Taste wines, honey, olives and other local produce in Mudgee
• Visit the historical Mining town and artist’s village of Hill End
• Watch genuine Australian farming life, with horsemanship, sheep mustering and shearing and dog handling
• Sit around a campfire to hear Australian stories and songs
• Eat Australian tucker like fresh damper, billy tea, Bar-B-Qued lamb chops and kangaroo meat
• Take a tour of the magnificent Southern night sky and learn Aboriginal legends of the stars
• Step back hundreds, and then millions of years, as we visit the historic village of Canowindra and its renowned fossil museum.
• Tour into the underworld at Abercrombie Caves
• Ride horses through the mountain bushland in the Megalong Valley
• Travel on the world’s steepest railway and the ultra modern scenic cableway
• Explore the natural beauty and historic artifacts in the picturesque Jamison Valley
• View the Three Sisters and other magnificent rock and bush sights of the Blue Mountains
• Glimpse the distant past as you survey ancient Aboriginal Rock art
• Personal small group tour (maximum 11 passengers)
• Friendly and knowledgeable local guide and hosts
• Travel in mini coach with luggage and kitchen trailer

• All transport
• Pick ups from Central Sydney location (including limited Central Sydney accommodations by prearrangement)
• All accommodation (Twin share with partner of choice or same gender passenger)
• All activities (except optional horse riding)
• All meals and snacks (except Dinner on first night in Mudgee)
• Hot showers and full bathroom access all nights

Optional Extras

• Horse riding (AUD$70 for 1 1/2 hours)

Departures:

• 8am Every Sunday
• 8am on any other day negotiable for groups of three or more passengers
• Central Sydney departures

What to Bring:

• Sleeping Bag - (if you don't have one you can hire one for the tour for $25. Just make sure you tick the box on the bookings page.)
• Towel and toiletries - on the farm you will need your own towel and toiletries
• Comfortable clothes and shoes for travelling, walking, riding and exploring
• A pair of long trousers (eg jeans) for horse riding
• Warm clothes during cooler months (April to October)
• A hat and sunscreen
• Wet weather protection
• A small torch for use at farmstay camp
• One <20kg bag for transport in trailer and one small hand luggage for bus. 
• A sense of adventure and an anticipation to learn and experience new things!
